Minecraft Dungeons Cheats

Here we are going to give you a quick overview of Minecraft commands and cheats. They can be useful if you want to enhance your game experience to the maximum.

Minecraft commands enable you to have a complete control of the game. There is so much you can do: copy a build, change the mode of the game, or play extra smart and even cheat a little bit, Minecraft console commands can help you in so many ways in your daily game. Plenty of different commands exist and they differ a lot in terms of how complex they are, but we have decided to overview those that are the most useful and will give you an upper hand in the game. Shorthand Code Commands for Minecraft
Below we give you some shorthand codes so that you do not need to type various player names. It’s a good idea to learn them by heart, it will save you the trouble of typing names like “Sniper_Kitty_Bruv_91” each time someone joins in.

@p – the player nearest to you
@r – a random player
@a – all players
@e – all entities in the world.
@s – yourself

Minecraft clone command

/clone <x1> <y1> <z1> <x2> <y2> <z2> <x> <y> <z>

This command enables you to copy a selection of blocks and move it to your chosen location. It’s handy when you are building, e.g., a city are and want to have many identical buildings in different areas. Start with “<x1> <y1> <z1>”. “<x2> <y2> <z2>” is where you finish, and with “<x> <y> <z>” you point out where you wish the cloned blocks to be located.

For instance: /clone 100 234 -10 200 100 0 300 200 100

Minecraft difficulty command
/difficulty <difficulty>

Its function is to change the in-game difficulty. Instead of the latter section of the code enter one of these:

  • peaceful
  • easy
  • normal
  • hard

For instance: /difficulty peaceful

Minecraft effect command

/effect <player> <effect> [seconds] [amplifier] [hideParticles]

This command adds a status effect to the selected player. The conditions “[seconds]”, “[amplifier]”, and “[hideParticles]” are not obligatory, so you can disregard them, however, you use them if you decide to change the length, or the strength of the effect, and you also need to decide if the effect shows as particles. When you decide that a player no longer needs an effect, just type “/effect <player> clear”.

For instance: /effect PCGamer water_breathing 30

Minecraft enchant command
/enchant <player> <enchantment ID> [level]

When you want an enchantment in addition to the item the player is holding, use this command. It can be enchantment you choose to have, they can be selected from a book or enchant table. Take a look at the list of Enchantment IDs.

For instance: /enchant PCGamer minecraft:smite 1

Minecraft Exp modifier command
/xp <amount> [player]

Grants a number of experience points to the targeted player. If you prefer to add levels (understandable, as it’s easier in case of enchanting) type “/xp <amount>L [player]”.

For instance: /xp 100L PCGamer

Change the gamemode command
/gamemode <mode>

This command is for changing the game mode. If you want to change the mode for a selected player, you need to add the player’s name at the end of the code. Instead of “” enter one of the options below:

  • Survival
  • Creative
  • Adventure
  • Spectator

For instance: /gamemode Survival

Minecraft give item command
/give <player> <item> [amount]

Adds an item to the player’s inventory. You will need this if you want start a run having all of the diamond gear. Remember that the amount section is only applicable to stackable items. That means, you cannot have 100 diamond swords in one go, no matter how great it sounds. To see all of the IDs, check out the list here.

For instance: /give PCGamer diamond_sword 1

If a command doesn’t work, help is available here:

/help [command name]

It gives extra information regarding any console command. If the command you are trying is not working properly, enter the above command before the name of the command that doesn’t work and you will be given more details about how it is supposed to function.

For instance: /help kill

Minecraft keep inventory command
/gamerule keepInventory true

This command enables you to keep all the items in your inventory even if you die. Changing “true” to “false” turns it off again.

Minecraft kill command
/kill

Use it to kill everything and everyone, even the player, i. e. yourself. If you wish to kill another player, you need to use “/kill <player>”, and if your target is a mob, use “/kill @e[type=mobType]”.

 

Minecraft play sound command
/playsound <sound> <player>

Use this command to play a specific sound file. For example, it can be used to have a soft sound a doorbell every time someone opens a door. You can find all the sound file names here.

For instance: /playsound minecraft:entity.elder_guardian.ambient voice @a

 

How to check the world seed in Minecraft
/Seed

If you want to replay the seed from the start or pass it on to someone, this will show you the seed for their current world.

Set world spawn in Minecraft
/setworldspawn

This works if you want to change the world spawn to the location where you are standing. It is also possible to set it to a location decided in advance with “/setworldspawn <x> <y> <z>”

For instance: /setworldspawn 100 80 0

Stop time from changing
/gamerule doDaylightCycle false

This completely turns the daylight cycle off so it’ll always be the current time of day. To reenable the cycle, replace “false” with “true.”

Spawn a mob

/summon <entity_name> [x] [y] [z]

Brings a mob to a designated location. Get rid of the “[x] [y] [z]” at the end and you can have the mob spawn on top of you if you wish. Be careful though – if you’re spawning the Wither have to be quick to get away to save your skin.

Minecraft teleport command
/tp [target player] <x> <y> <z>

It teleports the selected player to a location of your choice. Just imagine – you can teleport your friend up into the sky – wouldn’t it be fun?.

For instance: /tp PCGamer 100 0 10

Change Minecraft’s in-game time
/time set <value>

Allows you to set the in-game time. You need to add one of the numbers listed below to alter the time of day according to you preference:

  • 0 – Dawn
  • 1000 – Morning
  • 6000 – Midday
  • 12000 – Dusk
  • 18000 – Nightist

 

Minecraft change weather command
/weather <clear/rain/thunder>

Just like the name prompts, this command changes the weather in the game. i.e. “/weather thunder” starts a violent storm with thunder. This command is fantastically useful if you’re targeting charged creepers. Isn’t it great to have a thunder just when you need it?
